Sissu is a small tourist village in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul Valley, on the banks of the Chandra River. It is located on the Leh-Manali highway, approximately 90 kilometres from Manali. For visitors heading to Leh Ladhak, this settlement resembles a magnificent sight. Khagling is another name for Sissu.
The majority of the people of Sissu town are Buddhists, and the entire zone has a strong influence supply at all times of the day. Several locals can be seen using the sun’s energy to their advantage. Cell phone service (BSNL) was introduced in this town in 2003, however the coverage is limited to 3 to 4 kilometres.

The sanctuary of Ruler Ghepan is also located here, but it is closed to pariahs. In August 2010, the Dalai Lama visited the site and met with the explorers.
Hindi is a local dialect that anyone may understand and speak. Between May and October is the best time to explore Sissu town or Leh because it is only accessible by road. There is also a PWD rest house and a few small inns.
