Manali:

Tourism in Manali is continuously increasing at a rapid speed. One of the major reason for tourism in Manali is heli-skiing. Deo Tibba , Hanuman Tibba, Rohtang Pass are the few places around Manali where heli-skiing takes place.one can have exhilarating and thrilling experience of heli-skiing in these places because skiers are taken to a 14000 ft height with helicopter and then skiers get off the copter. Solang valley is equipped with excellent lift and is also a popular destination for skiing. The Valley between Manali and Kothi offers a splendid view of glaciers and snow capped mountain peaks. Solang has annual skiing tournament every year. The Directorate of Mountaineering and Allied Sports in Manali is one of the premier institutions for skiing in the Himalayas. There are lot of ski courses which one can avail during winter season.

Narkanda

64 km from Shimla, Narkanda is the oldest ski resort at an altitude of 8,100 ft and is an important horticultural centre. Around this season orchards on the hills produces most luscious apples and cherries. The most amazing part of the skiing at this site is that you won’t find yourself suffocated by hordes of fellow skiers. Himachal tourism has all the hands in the skiing facilities at Narkanda. Himachal Tourism handles everything from equipments and accommodation to transport. Special skiing courses are also organised at Narkanda every year. Hattu Peak, 6 km from Narkanda, towers 2,000 ft above Narkanda and has popular ski slopes.

Kufri

Kufri is the place which is easily approachable by everyone visiting to Shimla. Just from 12 km away from Shimla, Kufri is a tranquil little town which changes to wonderland when snow falls starting. Friends & families all can have a pretty satisfying experience of skiing in Kufri. There are few other slopes around kufri where one can have little experience of skiing.
